Crow Peak Brewing Company grew from a small, community-focused 5-barrel brewhouse in 2007 into one of the Black Hills’ signature craft beer producers, expanding repeatedly to meet rising demand across the region. After opening a new brewery building in 2009 and installing a full 30-barrel system with expanded fermentation capacity and an automated canning line in 2010, the brewery began distributing its beer throughout South Dakota and neighboring states. By 2015, production had climbed to 2,000 barrels annually, and a second major expansion in 2018 added even more tank capacity, enabling Crow Peak to produce roughly 5,000 barrels a year and continue sharing Spearfish-brewed craft beer far beyond its hometown!
